While Zack Snyder finally got the opportunity to unleash his vision for Justice League thanks to HBO Max last year, the filmmaker did still encounter some resistance to his Snyderverse ideas – in particular, his plan to include the John Stewart version of Green Lantern as part of the final round of additional photography.
Snyder originally wanted to have Green Lantern appear to Bruce Wayne instead of Harry Lennix’s J’onn J’onzz/Martian Manhunter, and even shot a version of the scene with actor Wayne T. Carr portraying John Stewart before Warner Bros. nixed the idea (something that came close to bringing the entire Zack Snyder’s Justice League project to a halt).
We’ve seen some concept art and behind-the-scenes images from the shoot over the past year, and now Wayne T. Carr has shared a brand new image of his John Stewart in full CGI Green Lantern suit; check it out below, and let us know whether you’re disappointed that Carr’s Green Lantern cameo didn’t make the final cut…

In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad, and Darkseid, and their dreadful intentions.
