AMC has announced six more additions to the cast of its anthology series Tales of the Walking Dead, with Olivia Munn (Violet), Danny Ramirez (The Falcon & The Winter Soldier), Loan Chabanol (Fading Gigolo), Embeth Davidtz (Ray Donovan), Jessie T. Usher (The Boys) and Gage Munroe (Nobody) all set to feature in episodes of the upcoming zombie spinoff.
“Olivia, Danny, Loan, Embeth, Jessie and Gage are the latest massive talents that will bring new worlds of TWD to life with big, daring, different, emotional, shocking, scary, and crazy stories,” said executive producer and The Walking Dead chief content officer Scott M. Gimple. “We’re excited for them to come walk with us.”
“Somehow we have lucked into the greatest cast — Olivia, Jessie, Embeth, Danny, Loan, Gage… We’ve been hoping these episodes will feel like unique, little films and with this range of actors, we are well on our way,” added showrunner Channing Powell, who has previously served as a writer and producer on The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead.
Tales of the Walking Dead will consist of six one-hour episodes, each focussing on different characters set within the world of The Walking Dead Universe. The newest additions join previously announced cast members Anthony Edwards (Inventing Anna), Parker Posey (Lost In Space), Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Poppy Liu (Dead Ringers) and Jillian Bell (Rough Night)
Tales of the Walking Dead is scheduled to premiere in the summer.
