Orlando Bloom, Freida Pinto, Cynthia Erivo and Leslie Odom Jr. join John Ridley’s Needle in a Timestack

June 9, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Orlando Bloom (The Lord of the Rings), Freida Pinto (Guerilla), Cynthia Erivo (Bad Times at the El Royale) and Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton) have joined the cast of Needle in a Timestack, the new film from John Ridley, the Oscar-winning writer and producer of 12 Years a Slave.

Ridley is set to write and direct the film, which is based upon a short story by Robert Silverberg and “follows a couple who work to hold their marriage together in a world where time travel is possible, and the past and present are ever fluctuating.”

Needle in a Timestack was originally set up at Miramax, but is now being produced by BRON Studios, which has the Al Capone biopic Fonzo, Bill Condon’s The Good Liar and the Tom Hanks WWII movie Greyhound on its upcoming slate.
