Star Wars alumni Oscar Isaac (The Force Awakens) and Tony Gilroy (Andor) are set to team up for cellist drama Behemoth.
According to The InSneider the Bourne Identity and Supremacy screenwriter has completed a script with Isaac attached, and is touting it around town to multiple interested parties. There are no specific plot details at the time of writing, aside from the fact that Behemoth is being described as “a drama about a cellist”.
The last time Isaac starred in a film about a musician resulted in The Coen Brothers’ sublime Inside Llewyn Davis, in which he gave arguably one of his best performances. Next up for the Moon Knight star is voice duties as Jesus Christ in Angel Studios’ The King of Kings, followed by Guillermo del Toro’s eagerly anticipated adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
Gilroy on the other hand is one month away from letting the world see whether a three-year wait for a return to his galaxy far, far away has been worth it with the release of the second season of his critically-acclaimed Star Wars series Andor.
