A couple of days after The CW made its first casting announcement for Gotham Knights, we now have news of more joining the potential DC series in Oscar Morgan (Warren), Olivia Rose Keegan (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) and Navia Robinson (Raven’s Home).
Gotham Knights takes place in a Gotham City in the aftermath of Batman’s apparent murder. His adopted son and sidekicks team up with the children of Batman’s enemies to find out who killed the Dark Knight.
Morgan will play Turner Hayes, Bruce Wayne’s adopted son “following the murder of Turner’s biological parents. Resilient and determined to live up to his adoptive father’s name, Turner has never felt comfortable in Bruce’s world of wealth and privilege.”
Keegan plays Duela, “the unpredictable daughter of the most dangerous man in Gotham. Born in Arkham Asylum and above all a survivor, Duela is also a brutal fighter and skilled thief.”
Robinson will play Carrie Kelley, “an idealistic teenager who talked her way into being Batman’s unlikely sidekick. She’s the first to rush in to a dangerous situation, so long as she can make it home by curfew.”
Gotham Knights is written by Batwoman‘s Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux and Natalie Abrams and produced by Berlanti Productions, but is unrelated to Batwoman, as well as the upcoming video game title of the same name.
Gotham Knights will follow Bruce Wayne’s rebellious adopted son in the wake of Bruce’s murder as he’s forced to forge an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies after they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader.
As the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city becomes more dangerous than it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors, known as the Gotham Knights.
