Earlier this year Paramount and Habsro enlisted Oscar-winner Akiva Goldsman to launch a “Writers Room” to generate ideas for the Transformers franchise. Well, it seems the two companies are so pleased with the results that they’re now looking to do the same for two other properties in G.I. Joe and Micronauts.
According to Deadline, this will prevent Goldsman from penning the script for Transformers 5, with Paramount now delving into their Transformers writers room to enlist scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man) and Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) for the fifth movie in the blockbuster franchise.
The news leaves a big question mark hanging over G.I. Joe 3, which has D.J. Caruso (I Am Number Four) on board as director after G.I. Joe: Retaliation helmer Jon M. Chu exited the project.
