With $107 million in worldwide receipts already tucked away in the inside pocket of Ghostface’s cloak, along with the largely favourable reviews (read our ★★★★ review here), it comes as little surprise to hear that Paramount and Spyglass have decided to move forward on a Scream sequel.
In even better news for fans of the bloody happenings in Woodsboro, according to Deadline’s report the entire creative team behind the requel are returning for the requel-sequel.
This means that Ready or Not directors Radio Silence are back, with Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett at the helm, with James Vanderbilt & Guy Busick co-writing the screenplay.
Creator Kevin Williamson and the third member of Radio Silence, Chad Villella, are executive producing alongside Spyglass’ Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre.
We won’t have too long to wait either, with principal photography scheduled to begin this summer.
