Paramount+ invite you to don your shades and prep your bubblegum in order to ‘Witness the Rise’ of the iconic Pink Ladies from the 1978 musical classic in their own spin-off show Grease: Rise of the Pink Lades.
The short tease does little more than announce the arrival of the Pink Ladies sometime in 2023, accompanied by a jaunty version of the familiar Grease theme, but it’ll be enough to get fans of the musical clapping along. Check it out below…

Originally developed as a show for HBO Max, before Paramount+ took it to series with a 10-episode order, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies is set four years before the original John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John headlined film. Taking place before rock ‘n’ roll ruled, before the T-Birds were the coolest in the school, four fed-up, outcast girls dare to have fun on their own terms, sparking a moral panic that will change Rydell High forever.
Written, executive produced, and showrun by Annabel Oakes (Atypical), Rise of the Pink Ladies stars Marisa Davila as Jane, Ari Notartomaso as Cynthia, Cheyenne Isabel Wells as Olivia, Tricia Fukuhara as Nancy, Madison Thompson as Susan, Shanel Bailey as Hazel, Johnathan Nieves as Richie, Jason Schmidt as Buddy, Maxwell Whittington-Cooper as Wally and Jackie Hoffman as Assistant Principal McGee.
