Patrick Stewart is heading back to the small screen for his first regular TV role since Star Trek: The Next Generation, taking on the lead role in Blunt Talk, a new live-action comedy series from Seth MacFarlane and Jonathan Ames (Bored to Death).
Stewart will star as Walter Blunt, a British newsman looking to make it big on American cable news by educating the masses. Stewart and MacFarlane are certainly no strangers, with the actor lending his voice to characters on both Family Guy and American Dad!, as well as narrating MacFarlane’s live-action feature debut Ted.
“My career took an abrupt and radical left turn when Seth MacFarlane created CIA deputy director Avery Bullock on American Dad!,” said Stewart. “Blunt is, however, much smarter than Avery and has his own TV show, which has to be better than being deputy director of the CIA.”
