Warner Bros. has wasted little time in securing a replacement for outgoing director Michelle MacLaren on the studio’s Wonder Woman movie, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that Patty Jenkins (Monsters) has signed on to helm the film.
Jenkins, whose previous credits includes the pilot for AMC’s The Killing, has previous experience in the superhero genre, having originally been attached to direct Thor: The Dark World, before vacating the director’s chair due to creative differences with Marvel Studios.
Wonder Woman is set for release on June 23rd 2017, with Gal Gadot reprising her role as the Amazon Princess from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
