Paul Bettany has claimed the upcoming WandaVision series for Disney+ will be the oddest property to be released by Marvel to date. In an interview with IGN at D23 Expo, Bettany said:
“It’s definitely the oddest of all the Marvel endeavors so far. It’s super avant-garde and weird. I don’t think either of us could have expected to be going in this — if we were going to continue in this — [and for] it to continue in this direction.. I’m so excited, the scripts are amazing. It’s going to be just great to drill down further into these things.”
Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen are set to reprise their roles of Vision and Scarlet Witch respectively in the series that has being described as half classic sitcom and half MCU spectacular. It sounds like it’s going to be a unique and original Marvel property.

WandaVision will take place after Avengers: Endgame and stars Teyonah Parris (Empire) as a now-adult version of Monica Rambeau from Captain Marvel, Kat Dennings and Randall Park reprising their Thor and Ant-Man and the Wasp roles as Darcy Lewis and Agent Jimmy Woo, along with Kathryn Hahn in an as yet unrevealed role.
WandaVision is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2021.
