Paul Feig to direct female engineer comedy Turned On

November 13, 2016 by Gary Collinson

It looks like Paul Feig has found his first post-Ghostbusters project, with the director signing on to helm the female engineer comedy Turned On for 20th Century Fox.

Variety is reporting that the project is written by Charlie Kesslering, an assistant to James Corden on The Late Late Show with James Corden, and “centers on a socially awkward engineer who creates an android to fill in for her. The scheme backfires when robot becomes self-actualized.”

Feig has recently been linked to Mindy Kaling’s as-yet-untitled late-night talk show comedy feature film, while he has also expressed an interest in returning for a Ghostbusters sequel, although there’s been no word from Sony as to whether that will move ahead.
