Streaming service Peacock has announced that it has axed the TV series Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol following a single 10-episode season which aired on the streamer late last month.
“We were so proud to bring this action-packed mystery thriller to our members and enjoyed watching this compelling series unfold with a satisfying, complete story,” reads the official statement from Peacock. “We’re grateful to [executive producers] Dan Dworkin, Jay Beattie, Dan Brown, Brian Grazer and Ron Howard along with CBS Studios, Imagine Television and UTV for bringing this international bestselling novel to life.”
Based on bestselling author Brown’s novel of the same name, The Lost Symbol served as a prequel to The Da Vinci Code film series led by Tom Hanks, with Ashley Zuckerman portraying a young version of the Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon. Featuring alongside Zuckerman in the cast of the series were Valorie Curry, Sumalee Montano, Rick Gonzalez, Eddie Izzard and Beau Knapp.
