Despite previous talk that the show could end with its upcoming fifth season, Deadline is reporting that Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is having talks with the BBC about a sixth and seventh series of the acclaimed period crime drama.
“We’ve talked to Cillian Murphy and he’s all for it, and the rest of the principal cast are in for it,” said Knight of the BAFTA nominated show.
Meanwhile, Knight also revealed that he’s been approached by the Rambert dance company about producing a ballet version of the series:
“I had a meeting with Rambert because they said they were interested in turning Peaky Blinders into a ballet. I don’t know where they would do it, but there was a view to premiering it here in Birmingham.”
The fourth series of Peaky Blinders was BBC Two’s most watched drama of 2017 and scored BAFTA nominations for Outstanding Drama Series at this month’s British Academy Television Awards.
