The memorable and iconic Phineas and Ferb is returning as part of a new deal with Dan Povenmire and Disney Branded Television.
There will be another 40 episodes, breaking down into two seasons of the revival. At the time of reporting, we are still determining where the revival will air as Disney Branded Television covers Disney Channel, Disney+, Disney Junior, and Disney XD. Deadline reports the new deal with Povenmire also includes a second season of his latest Disney Channel series, Hamster & Gretel.
Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis announced the Phineas and Ferb revival with Povenmire during Friday’s Television Critics Association panel.
“There’s songs that we wrote in 2005 for this show that are trending on TikTok. That has been one of the best times in my career is the fact that this whole generation of kids and parents really took this show into their hearts, and it still means so much to them,” Povenmire said.
Phineas and Ferb ran for four seasons on Disney Channel and saw two animated movies, Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension and Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe.
While no talent is confirmed, most of the cast appeared in 2020’s Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe. The cast for that project includes Ashley Tisdale, Vincent Martella, David Errigo Jr., Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, Tyler Mann, Bobby Gaylor, Maulik Pancholy, Dan Povenmire, Alyson Stoner, Dee Bradley Baker Ali, Wong, Tiffany Haddish, Caroline Rhea, and Richard O’Brien.
All four seasons of Phineas and Ferb and both movies are currently streaming on Disney+.
