To hunt these beasts, players will have access to all 14 weapon types and utilise some of the new features, plus there are new Slinger tool options such as the Clutch Claw grapple mechanic.
Players completing each quest for the first time during the beta will be able to earn a total of three item packs, each of which containing useful consumable items that will be available to use in the full version of the Iceborne expansion.
The Iceborne expansion will release on Xbox One and PS4 on 6th September with a PC version to follow shortly after. Players will need to have completed the main story through Hunter Rank 16 in order to access the new story and quests, although they will be able to enjoy the Slinger and weapon updates straight away.
