Plot details for Pixar’s Finding Dory

December 9, 2014 by admin

Details have been spotty for Disney and Pixar’s sequel to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory. Original claims stated that the movie would be about Dory finding her parents with the help of Marlon and Nemo from the Great Barrier Reef to the California Coastline, and then rumours stated it would be set in an aquatic park. But critical and social backlash and outcry against Seaworld due to documentary Blackfish put a stop to that.

Now it is being reported by Collider (via Omelete) that the movie will be set in just one location.

“[Pixar President Jim] Morris said the sequel takes place six months after the first movie, and Dory, now living in the same reef as the clown fishes, living a normal and quiet life, dealing with her forgetfulness. One day she goes with Nemo on a class trip to see manta rays migrate back home, which makes her feel home sick since she doesn’t know where she came from.”

“The movie will be mostly set at the California Marine Biology Institute, a huge complex of sea life rehabilitation and aquarium, where Dory was born and raised,” Morris adds. “We will get to meet new characters, like an octopus, sea lions, a beluga whale, among others.”

Finding Dory will see Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks return to provide their voices for Dory and Marlon and will be joined by Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy as Dory’s parents.
