This Is the Police 2 gets a new gameplay trailer

April 16, 2018 by Andrew Newton

THQ Nordic have released a new trailer for their police strategy sequel This is the Police II.  With a new location, a new sheriff and a new gameplay mechanic, this sequel will provide an entirely different policing experience.  This is the Police II will be released on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac later this year.

This is the Police II takes us to the cold frontier town of Sharpwood and puts players in the shoes of new sheriff Lilly Reed.  Unlike Police Chief Jack Boyd’s role in the big city Sharpwood is not so heavy with the red tape and bureaucracy so will require the direct control of officers during dangerous and difficult missions.

As with the first game, This is the Police II is a mix of adventure and management genres, however, police officers are no longer treated like a resource but are individuals with their own strengths, weaknesses, fears and prejudices.  During particularly dangerous missions the game will switch to a new turn based combat mode allowing players to guide their officers into advantageous positions and make arrests.  Each police officer’s life is at risk if the wrong decision is made.

This is the Police II will be available on PC, Mac and consoles later this year.
