James Gunn claims Pom Klementieff won’t be in Superman, but that doesn’t mean the actress has no place in his new DCU.
The pair began working together in 2017 for the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. They started a close working relationship that has seen Mantis become a massive part of Marvel and the Guardians of the Galaxy stories.
With that connection, Pom Klementieff reveals there’s been talk about setting a date and time for her DC debut. While appearing at San Antonio’s Superhero Comic Con, she said she’s “been talking” to DC Studios co-CEO about a role in the brand.
Agents of Fandom report she shut down any conversation when asked who she’ll play, with Klementieff responding, “Do you really think I’m going to answer this question? I just want to keep working with James, so we’re going to keep trying to find ways to do that. Yes, we’ve been talking about one specific character, but I can’t talk about that right now.”
Who do you think the actress could play in the new DC Universe? As we await that news, James Gunn is busy at work with Superman, the feature film premiere of the latest DC Studios era.
