Post-apocalyptic strategy game They Are Coming! arriving in May

April 19, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Freedom Games and indie developer The 6-Month Initiative will be releasing their post-apocalyptic strategy, They Are Coming!, on PC via Steam on 20th May.  They Are Coming! brings a plague of zombies to World War 2 and will see players take control of this horde to do what they do best….. eat brainssss!  A new trailer can be seen below.

In They Are Coming! the war is just about over for the Nazi regime and in a final ditch effort to defeat the Allies the Reich releases their secret weapon, the Wunderwaffe, or in other words flesh eating zombies that want brains.  Well, it’s just one zombie to start with but as we all know from zombie films, it’s not long before there’s a horde.

Players will take control of these zombies and lead them to victory by spreading the desire for brains across all the people you meet.  Chew, nibble and bite your way through a wealth of enemies no matter whose side they are on, whether allies or Nazis they are all an extra zombie to add to the horde.  However, some humans don’t want to greet the gracious undead willingly and players will need to lead their zeds past a variety of hazards including machine guns, mortars, tank shells and much more.

Each stage has lots of opportunities for explorations, there’s plenty of humans to meet and eat as well as lots of secrets and challenges to discover.  Whatever you do on each stage all adds up to your final score and the evolution of the horde.

They Are Coming! arrives on Steam on 20th May.
