It looks like fans of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers will have a little longer to wait to see their heroes back on the big screen, as Lionsgate has pushed back the release once again, along with the final chapter of the Divergent franchise.
Variety is reporting that Power Rangers will now hit cinemas on March 24th 2017, occupying the spot previously held by The Divergent Series: Ascendant, which will now open on June 9th 2017.
The Dean Israelite-directed Power Rangers was initially set to arrive in July 22nd 2016, before being pushed back in January 2017. The film is set to star Becky G. as the Yellow Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger and R.J. Cyler as the Blue Ranger.
