It looks like Naomi Scott is set to reunite with her Power Rangers co-star Elizabeth Banks, with That Hashtag Show reporting that the actress has been cast in Sony’s upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot, which Banks is directing.
It was previously reported back in January that Kristen Stewart (Personal Shopper) and Lupita Nyong’o (Black Panther) were in negotiations to star in the movie, and apparently those talks are continuing.
Charlie’s Angels first aired as a TV show in the 1970s, with Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith portraying the titular Angels, three female detectives who solve cases for their mysterious benefactor Charlie.
Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu previously starred in the first big screen reboot back in 2000, with a sequel following in 2003.
Filming on the new Charlie’s Angels is expected to begin in September, so expect official confirmation on the cast soon. Scott meanwhile is coming off Disney’s live-action Aladdin remake, which wrapped filming this past January ahead of a release on May 24th 2019.
