Prey promo offers another peek at the Predator prequel

June 13, 2022 by Gary Collinson

Following hot on the heels of the latest trailer, the official social media accounts for the Predator franchise have unveiled a new promo for Prey, the upcoming prequel from director Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane), which sees the iconic alien hunter visiting Earth in the year 1719 and coming face to face with the young Comanche warrior Naru (Amber Midthunder).

Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “Prey” is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.

Prey is set for release on August 5th, 2022, exclusively on Disney’s direct-to-consumer platforms: Hulu in the U.S., and Star on Disney+ in the UK and other territories.
