The WGA Strike is still impacting Hollywood, and another show might delay production to work around the situation.
The Mandalorian Season 4 was reportedly set to begin in September, and while the production has breathing room, reports are saying the Disney+ series will push the start of production.
Earlier this year, series creator Jon Favreau confirmed the scripts for the new installment had all been completed, but during a WGA strike, there is no writer present on set. There’s also picketing happening, which fellow Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again dealt with as some crew didn’t cross any lines.
This report also has confirmed a fourth season of The Mandalorian, which was expected but had yet to see any official word from Disney or LucasFilms.
“The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”
The Mandalorian season 3 sees Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin joined by Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze), Emily Swallow (The Armorer), Paz Vizsla (Jon Favreau), Omid Abtahi (Dr. Pershing), Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Carson Teva), Amy Sedaris (Peli Motto), Ahmed Best (Kelleran Beq), Katy M. O’Brian (Elia Kane), Simon Kassianides (Axe Woves), Mercedes Varnado (Koska Reeves), Christopher Lloyd (Commissioner Helgait), Tim Meadows (Colonel Tuttle), Jack Black (Captain Bombardier) and Lizzo (The Duchess).
The Mandalorian airs on Disney+.
