Psychological horror Tower of Madness coming to Steam this month

October 5, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Indie developer J6 Games has announced that their linear psychological horror game Tower of Madness will be arriving on Steam on 25th October. This Stephen King’s The Dark Tower inspired horror will have players embracing madness as they progress through a subterranean floating tower.  The developer has also released a new trailer (see below), providing viewers with a glimpse into the madness coming just before Halloween.

Tower of Madness is a third person, story-driven psychological horror that places players in the role of an average, everyday cowboy called John. John has lived his life in the same small desert town, never causing any trouble, then one day begins to hear an ominous voice inside his head, preempting the murder of everyone in his town.  With nobody to turn to and worried about his own sanity, John follows the voice to a dry well and from there descends into a vast cavern containing a floating upside down tower.

Players will need to guide John up through the bizarre and eerie tower, navigating the mind-bending and physics-defying environments to eventually reach the top/bottom.  Can players discover where the voice is coming from, where it is compelling John to go, and will he lose his sanity in the progress?

Tower of Madness will arrive on Steam on 25th October. Look out for the demo arriving on Steam on 11th October.
