Netflix has released the official teaser trailer for its Bridgerton limited series prequel Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, revealing a premiere date of May 4th, 2023 on the streamer. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story stars India Amarteifio (Line of Duty), Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones), Corey Mylchreest (Sandman), Arsema Thomas, Sam Clemmett (The War Below) as Young Brimsley, Richard Cunningham (The Witcher) as Lord Bute, Tunji Kasim (Nancy Drew) as Adolphus, Rob Maloney (Casualty) as the Royal Doctor, Cyril Nri (Cucumber) as Lord Danbury and Bridgerton‘s Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell and Hugh Sachs reprising their roles as Queen Charlotte, Lady Agatha Danbury, Lady Violet Bridgerton and Brimsley respectively.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will premiere on Netflix May 4th, 2023.
