Appearing at the San Diego Comic-Con to discuss the upcoming comic book crossover Django/Zorro from Dynamite Entertainment, filmmaker Quentin Tarantino confirmed that The Hateful Eight is going to move ahead, stating during the Q&A that: “Yes, we are going to be doing The Hateful Eight. All for you. We weren’t sure about it but I just decided now.”
Tarantino offered no further details on the status of the Western, which he put the breaks on earlier in the year following an online leak of the screenplay. Earlier this month, Kurt Russell claimed that The Hateful Eight would go into production early next year, and it is assumed that Tarantino will stick with the same cast as the live script reading he held back in April, which also featured Samuel L. Jackson, Walton Goggins, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, Amber Tamblyn, Bruce Dern, James Remar, Dana Hourrier, James Parks, Denis Menochet and Zoe Bell.
