R-rated puppet comedy The Happytime Murders gets a new trailer

We can’t imagine it will have much of a shot come awards season but STX Entertainment has released a brand new ‘For Your Consideration’ trailer for the upcoming R-rated puppet comedy The Happytime Murders. Maybe they’re eyeing that new Achievement in Popular Film Oscar?!

THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS is set in the underbelly of Los Angeles where puppets and humans coexist. Two clashing detectives, one human and one puppet, are forced to work together to try and solve who is brutally murdering the former cast of “The Happytime Gang,” a beloved classic puppet show.

The Happytime Murders is set for release on August 24th in the US and on August 27th in the UK.
