Earlier this month it was rumoured that Rachel McAdams (True Detective) was in talks with Marvel Studios for the female lead in Doctor Strange, and now the actress has confirmed that she has had discussions about the Phase Three project.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, McAdams – McAdams was previously offered the role of Pepper Potts in Iron Man only to turn it down – stated that: “It’s still super-early days, and I don’t know where that’s gonna go, if it’s gonna go anywhere at all.”

Doctor Strange is set for release on November 4th 2016, with Scott Derrickson (Sinister) directing a cast that so far includes Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) as Stephen Strange alongside Tilda Swinton (Snowpiercer) as The Ancient One and Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) as Baron Mondo.
