With filming on Doctor Strange now well underway, Rachel McAdams (True Detective) has spoken briefly about the Phase Three movie, praising director Scott Derrickson and suggesting that it will be a unique entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“I just love the director,” McAdams tells MTV. “I met with Scott Derrickson] and loved his vision, he was so passionate. And the opportunity to work with Benedict was kind of a no-brainer. And Marvel makes amazing films, so it was a complete package. It’s definitely not going to be like any of the other films.”

Doctor Strange is set for release on October 28th, 2016 in the UK and November 4th, 2016 in the US, with Scott Derrickson (Sinister) with a cast that includes Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) as Stephen Strange, Tilda Swinton (Snowpiercer) as The Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) as Baron Mordo and Rachel McAdams (True Detective) and Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal) in as-yet-unconfirmed roles.
