With the third season of Reacher having kicked off on Amazon Prime, further word has come on the spin-off focusing on Maria Sten’s Frances Neagley, one of Jack Reacher’s closest allies, with the upcoming series officially titled Neagley and gaining a set of series regulars.
Neagley is now in production and will see Sten reprising her role as Neagley sets out to uncover the mystery of a murdered friend. Per Variety, her co-stars will include Greyston Holt (The Night Agent) as Detective Hudson Riley, Jasper Jones (King Ivory) as Keno, Adeline Rudolph (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as Renee, Matthew Del Negro (Mayor of Kingstown) as Pierce Woodrow and Damon Herriman (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) as Lawrence Cole.
The official synopsis for Neagley reads: Frances Neagley is a private investigator in Chicago. When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell-bent on justice. Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.
Neagley has been created by Reacher‘s Nick Santora with Nicholas Wootton. Santora and Wootton will executive produce and co-showrun the series while Reacher author Lee Child will executive produce alongside Don Granger, Sam Hill, Adam Higgs, and Lisa Kussner with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell.
Sten can currently be seen in the third season of Reacher with Alan Ritchson and newcomers Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Olivier Richters, and Daniel David Stewart.
Based on Lee Child’s novel Persuader, in the third season of the action-packed series, Reacher hurtles into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. There he finds a world of secrecy and violence—and confronts some unfinished business from his own past.
Reacher can be streamed on Amazon Prime.
