After surviving one strange wedding night, we’ll catch up with the final girl, Grace Le Domas, in a new Ready or Not.
The film that put filmmaker group Radio Silence and actress Samara Weaving is back for another round of twisted games. Insider Jeff Sneider reports that Ready or Not 2 is being developed and has landed a new director. Adam Robitel is set to helm the second installment.
Robitel is familiar with the horror genre, having directed memorable outings like The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014), Insidious: The Last Key (2018), and Escape Room (2019). The latter film and its sequel, Escape Room: Tournament of Champions (2021), have an action-horror element, vital to making the Ready or Not sequel as thrilling as the first.
Weaving is expected to return in a leading role, retaining her title as a modern horror icon. Further casting and the plot details of Ready or Not 2 are still under wraps.
2019’s Ready or Not followed the young bride (Samara Weaving) joining her new husband’s (Mark O’Brien) rich, eccentric family (Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, Andie MacDowell) in a time-honored tradition that turns into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.
The film featured a cast that included Samara Weaving, Andie MacDowell, Mark O’Brien, Adam Brody, and Henry Czerny. It was a box office success, grossing $57.6 million worldwide against a $6 million budget.
