Rebellion unveils Zombie Army VR with reveal trailer

February 22, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Developer and publisher Rebellion has announced Zombie Army VR, a brand-new VR experience set in the Zombie Army’s heart-pounding universe. Zombie Army VR will release later this year on PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2, 3 and Pro, Oculus Rift and PC headsets via Steam.  A new reveal trailer can be seen below….

Zombie Army VR will follow the story of the Zombie Army series and place gamers on the battlefield as one of the elite zombie war criminals hunter squad known as the Deadhunters.  Players will fight their way through the undead hordes of bombed out Nuremburg to help Hermann Wolff, the Deadhunter’s legendary leader, find his family and liberate Europe from the zombie apocalypse.

The spine-chilling excitement of Zombie Army VR will feature a new level of immersion as players will use both hands to aim their rifle, yet use both hands separately to duel-wield pistols and submachine guns when the action gets up close and personal.  Players will also need to master reloading under the pressure of a horde closing in fast.

Players will have access to a whole range of authentic World War II weaponry, including sniper rifles, submachine guns, pistols and more.  These weapons can be modified using upgrade kits to improve range, accuracy, scope and ammo capacity.

Zombie Army VR features:

  • A new chilling campaign.
  • Authentic weaponry and impactful melee combat.
  • Relive super shooting with the X-ray Kill Cam.
  • Player progression and weapon mods.
  • Liberate Europe alone or with a friend in online co-op.
  • Competitive arcade-style scoring system.
  • Forcetube and bHaptics support on Quest and PCVR.
  • A wide range of accessibility features, including colour blindness, audio, rotation options and more.

Zombie Army VR will release on PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2, 3 and Pro, Oculus Rift and PC headsets later this year.
