Netflix and Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page will be working together on more than a period piece romance as Page has been cast in a heist film for the streamer from director Noah Hawley (Lucy in the Sky).
Page will headline the film, which has been written by Hawley. A title and plot details have not been revealed, but it is based on an original idea from Hawley.
Producing the film will be Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who recently worked with Page on their Netflix action spy film The Gray Man, alongside Mike Larocca through their company AGBO. Hawley will also produce through his 26 Keys production company while Page will executive produce with Angela Russo-Otstot.
“AGBO was originally founded to allow us to collaborate with artists we greatly respect and admire. We are very happy to continue to fulfill that pledge by supporting this new film from Noah Hawley and Regé-Jean Page,” said Larocca.
Page was the breakout star of Bridgerton which earned him many accolades from critics, fans and award ceremonies. Since Bridgerton is an anthology series with each season following a different sibling of the Bridgerton family, Page will reportedly not appear in the second season of the hit series. As well as The Gray Man, he will be seen next in the Dungeons and Dragons live-action reboot.
