Deadline is reporting that Reina Hardesty (Brockmire, The Flash) has been cast in one of the lead roles in Amazon’s as-yet-untitled college-set spinoff from the hit comic book adaptation The Boys.
The spinoff, which has been written by The Boys executive producer Craig Rosenberg, the potential show takes place at a college for superheroes and will see Hardesty starring alongside Jaz Sinclair (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Lizze Broadway (American Pie Presents Girls’ Rules), Shane Paul McGhie (Deputy), Aimee Carrero (Elena of Avalor) and Maddie Phillips (Teenage Bounty Hunters).
The spinoff is described by Amazon as “an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire and raunch of The Boys.”
