NeocoreGames and Bigben Interactive have announced that they are pushing back the release date for their action RPG Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr back to August. Xbox One and PS4 players wanting to venture into the 40,000 universe can do so digitally on the 23rd August or pop into their retailer for a physical copy on the 24th August.
This is the second time Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr‘s release has been delayed but there is good reason. Firstly, certain multiplayer functions need more time than originally predicted in order to provide the best gameplay experience, and secondly, ‘access restrictions have appeared in countries where networks are subjected to stricter surveillance’.
Like I said back in April, I’d rather have a game’s release delayed and have a great experience than pushed out by a certain date and needing a huge day 1 update.
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr takes players to the dangerous Caligari Sector, a region overflowing with heretics, mutants, Chaos Daemons and many other beings intent on destroying the Imperium. Sometimes, using Space Marines and the Imperial Guard is like using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut so a more subtle force is needed, the Inquisition. Players will take the role of one of three classes of Inquisitor – the Assassin, the Crusader and the Psyker; each of these has specific skills and varied customisable options that can be tweaked to complete numerous missions with varied objectives.
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is the very first RPG set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe and offers solo play, local 2 player and an online cooperative mode for up to 4 players. Hopefully we can join the Inquisition this August.
