Oscar-winner Adrien Brody (The French Dispatch) is set to reunite with The Brothers Bloom director Rian Johnson for the filmmaker’s upcoming Peacock series Poker Face.
Although Brody’s role in the 10-episode mystery drama series is being kept under wraps, we do know that the actor will be starring alongside lead actor Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll), Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Stephanie Hsu, Benjamin Bratt and David Castañeda. Previous reports have suggested that the series will be an hour-long procedural in which Lyonne’s character will solve a different case in each of the 10 episodes.
Johnson, who is best known for 2017’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi and 2019’s Knives Out, will be writing and directing the series. Lilla and Nora Zuckerman (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) will serve as the series’ showrunners and executive producers. The series will also be executive produced by Johnson and his T-Street partner Ram Bergman and the company’s television president Nena Rodrigue as well as Lyonne via her Animal pictures and the company’s Maya Rudolph and Danielle Renfrew Behrens.
Johnson is currently in post-production on Knives Out 2 which sees Daniel Craig reprising his role as detective Benoit Blanc attempting to solve another whodunnit alongside a stacked cast that includes Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline, Jessica Henwick and Ethan Hawke.
