There’s a sim game for practically everything you could possibly want to experience from bus driver to prison architect. Now, thanks to publisher Merge Games and developers Leonard Menchiari and IV Productions, players can now take part in some of the world’s most infamous riots with RIOT – Civil Unrest which is available on Steam Early Access.
With RIOT – Civil Unrest players can recreate infamous riots from around the world including the Italian NoTav opposition to a planned high-speed rail link, the Arab Spring uprising in Egypt, the anti-austerity protests in Spain and the Keratea landfill riot in Greece. As well as the 4 campaigns there are also over 30 single scenarios to play through that take players to locations around the world such as London, Brazil, Oakland, Ukraine and France.
During each campaign or scenario players can take on both sides of the riot. Either play the rioting hordes venting their frustration at the authorities by adding additional leaders to influence the masses or play as the police and add additional tactical, assault or ballistic units to help quell the riot.
Corruption, persecution, racial tension, financial inequality… Civil conflict across the globe has exploded. As inequality tears the very fabric of society the discontentment of the masses manifests itself in violent public disturbances and disorder.
RIOT – Civil Unrest is available now on Steam Early Access with a limited time 10% discount.
