Ryan Dunn, one of the stars of the MTV franchise Jackass, was killed earlier today in a car crash in West Goshen, Pennsylvania, aged just 34. According to TMZ, Dunn had posted images of himself out drinking with friends on Sunday night and died at approximately 3am when the car he was travelling in hit a tree and burst into flames, killing the star and an as-yet-unidentified passenger.
A member of Bam Margera’s underground CKY Crew, Dunn first came to public attention with his work on the popular MTV prank show Jackass, which ran for three seasons between 2000 and 2003. Produced by Johnny Knoxville, Spike Jonze and Jeff Tremaine, the controversial series also spawned three successful feature films in 2002, 2006 and 2010.
Along with a handful of movie appearances, Dunn would continue his working relationship with MTV post-Jackass on the likes of Viva La Bam and Homewrecker, while his latest show – G4’s Proving Ground – had just received its premiere last Tuesday.
