Fresh from her role as Christian Grey’s sister Mia in Fifty Shades Freed, actress and singer Rita Ora has bagged herself another screen role, signing on to appear in the live-action Pokemon movie Detective Pikachu. Details of her role are being kept under wraps.
The film is now currently in production in the UK, with Rob Letterman (Goosebumps) directing a cast that includes Ryan Reynolds in the title role as Detective Pikachu alongside Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Kathryn Newton (Big Little Lies), Suki Waterhouse (The Bad Batch), Ken Watanabe (Godzilla), Bill Nighy (The Limehouse Golem) and Chris Geere (Modern Family).
Detective Pikachu is the first live-action movie based upon the enormously successful Pokemon franchise will see Smith’s character teaming up with Pikachu to investigate the kidnapping of his father. The film is set for release on May 10th, 2019.
