Having wowed festival audiences for months, Pablo Berger’s wonderful animated heart-warmer Robot Dreams finally arrives in theatres this May, and Neon are celebrating by releasing a brand new trailer for the friendship fable.
Based on Sara Varon’s graphic novel of the same name, the film tells the story of Dog and the friendship that blossoms with the companion he builds himself, Robot, in 1980s Manhattan.
We called the film “a beautifully realised world of animation…that’ll double the size of your heart” in our ★★★★ review (which you can read here); check out the trailer below…
Dog lives in Manhattan and he’s tired of being alone. One day he decides to build himself a robot, a companion. Their friendship blossoms, until they become inseparable, to the rhythm of 80’s NYC. One summer night, DOG, with great sadness, is forced to abandon ROBOT at the beach. Will they ever meet again?
Robot Dreams is in UK cinemas now and releases in U.S. theaters on May 31st.
