After conjuring spells in The Wheel of Time, Rosamund Pike will make more magic as the latest cast member in Now You See Me 3.
Her role is being kept under wraps, but it is described as “pivotal” to the story. Pike will star alongside the franchise’s original ensemble of Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Morgan Freeman. The film’s other newcomers include Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie), Justice Smith (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves) and Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers).
Now You See Me 3 will “once again delve into the world of the illusionists and the bickering and sneaky quartet known as the Four Horsemen while introducing audiences to a new generation of magicians.”
It is unknown if Mark Ruffalo will also reprise his role from the films after being one of its lead stars. The same goes for Lizzy Caplan, who starred in the second film as a new Horseman after Fisher could not return for the sequel.
Now You See Me 3 will be directed by Ruben Fleischer (Venom) from a script written by Eric Warren Singer, Seth Grahame-Smith and Mike Lesslie. Bobby Cohen and Alex Kurtzman are producing.
