After nearly two years since its first season ended, the Star Wars series Ahsoka has begun production on its anticipated second season.
Ahsoka lead actress Rosario Dawson shared a photo on Instagram from the series’ set, teasing fans with the silhouette of Ashoka Tano’s recognizable look. As if the tease of her in costume was not enough, she wrote “& we’re off… to galaxies far, far away….!”

Lucasfilm and Disney have been teasing a return to Ahsoka as of late with the news that Game of Thrones actor Rory McCann would be taking over the role of former Jedi turned mercenary Baylon Skoll after Ray Stevenson’s passing with our first official look at him from Star Wars Celebration Japan last week. That is not all though as Celebration also revealed Hayden Christensen would once again reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker after guest starring in Ahsoka‘s first season.
Ahsoka season two will pick up with the title character and Sabine Wren trapped in a distant galaxy while Grand Admiral Thrawn has escaped to the Nightsister’s home planet of Dathomir with the goal of unifying the Imperial warlords and remnants scattered across the galaxy. The coming battle is said to build up to a “head to head” battle between Thrawn and Admiral Ackbar, the iconic Rebellion leader who led the battle against the second Death Star in Return of the Jedi.
The second season of Ahsoka will see the return of Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka Tano), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Sabine Wren), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Hera Syndulla), Eman Esfandi (Ezra Bridger), Ivanna Sakhno (Shin Hati), David Tennant (Huyang) and Lars Mikkelsen (Grand Admiral Thrawn) to the series, with Rory McCann (Game of Thrones) joining the cast as Baylon Skoll.
