Justice League rumour time again folks, and this one is likely to please any folks who weren’t enamoured by Jesse Eisenberg’s take on Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Back in June of last year, Eisenberg revealed that he’d be reprising his role as the classic DC villain in November’s Justice League, but if a report from Batman-on-Film is to be believed, that is no longer the case.
Responding to a question about how big of a role Eisenberg will play in Justice League, the site claims that “He doesn’t have one. If he did prior to all the changes/reshoots, it was cut.”
To be honest, at this point, it’s hard to know what to believe about Justice League, with rumours flying around all over the place. In the past couple of weeks alone, we’ve heard that a rough cut was “unwatchable”, that the ending has been completely reworked by Joss Whedon, and that Zack Snyder is coming back on board to finish the film.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League will reunite Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta and Robin Wright as General Antiope alongside J.K.
