Have your pinch of salt at the ready, as this one is almost certainly a fabrication, but Screen Geek is claiming that Marvel Studios is considering having an appearance from Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk – a.k.a. Kingpin – in Marvel and Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Now, Kingpin appearing in a Spider-Man movie certainly isn’t beyond the realm of possibility; however, the site goes on to destroy any and all credibility by suggesting that Andrew Garfield could appear in Sony’s Venom movie as a way to hold on to their previous plans to build towards The Sinister Six. Which is just a ludicrous suggestion, to be honest.
Should – and it’s a massive should – there be any truth to this rumour, D’Onofrio’s Kingpin would be the first character from the TV side of the MCU to make the jump to the big screen.
UPDATE: And as expected, this looks like its another fabricated “scoop”:
Sorry folks but this is news to me.
It would be great but I don't think it will happen. V. https://t.co/GrVwbUYsqX— Vincent D'Onofrio (@vincentdonofrio) May 20, 2016
