Now, this could just be speculation/guesswork, given that it would make complete sense, but Star Wars Time is reporting that the first trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set to be attached to fellow Disney release, Captain America: Civil War, which is set for release in May.
We’re less than twelve months away from the release of Rogue One, and had already received the first teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens by this point in the Episode VII marketing campaign, so don’t be surprised if we actually get a trailer prior to May – perhaps to coincide with the home-entertainment release of The Force Awakens in April.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set for release on December 16th 2016, with a cast that includes Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Diego Luna (Milk), Ben Mendelsohn (The Dark Knight Rises), Donnie Yen (Ip Man), Jiang Wen (Let the Bullets Fly), Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland), Alan Tudyk (Con Man) and Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler).
