Having just come off Captain America: Civil War before delving into the two-part Avengers: Infinity War, it’s surprising that the Russo brothers have time to sleep, never mind producing a new TV project for Showtime. However, Deadline is reporting that Anthony and Joe are making a return to the small screen, with the duo executive producing a new half-hour comedy series from writer Moshe Kasher (Zoolander 2) and writer and actor Zach Cregger (Miss March).
The untitled comedy “focuses on a larcenous family of pot dealers whose world is turned upside down when their illegal enterprise suddenly becomes legal in their home state. As the family struggles to adapt to the strange new world of legitimate business, they are forced to depend upon the business acumen of their son, whose straight and narrow leanings have always made him a “black sheep” in this clan of reprobates.”
The Russos are certainly no stranger to television, having won an Emmy for directing the pilot of Arrested Development, as well as working on a host of TV shows including Community and Happy Endings.
