Deadline is reporting that Ryan Reynolds will reunite with Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman, producers of 2009’s The Proposal, for an as-yet-untitled new romantic comedy.
The film is being scripted by Allan Loeb (Collateral Beauty, The Space Between Us, The Switch), although plot details are being kept under wraps.
Lieberman and Hoberman’s Mandeville will produce the movie alongside Reynolds’ Maximum Effort, which is also working on an adaptation of the popular board game Clue, scripted by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool).
The Proposal saw Reynolds starring alongside Sandra Bullock, and despite mixed reviews, it was a solid hit at the box office with almost $320 million worldwide.
Reynolds will next be seen on the big screen this May, when he reprises the role of the Merc with a Mouth in the superhero sequel Deadpool 2. He is also currently shooting the live-action Pokemon movie Detective Pikachu, where he stars as the title character.
