Ryan Reynolds to produce R-rated Home Alone reimagining Stoned Alone

July 28, 2018 by Gary Collinson

THR is reporting that Ryan Reynolds is on board to produce and potentially star in Stoned Alone, an R-rated reimagining of the 1990 holiday classic Home Alone, which reteams the Deadpool star with studio Fox.

The film revolves around a “20-something stoner who, after missing the plane for his holiday ski trip, gets high and becomes paranoid that people are breaking into his house. While high, he tries to thwart the thieves who have actually, really broken into his house.”

Stoned Alone has been scripted by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider (The Package) and has Augustine Frizzell (Never Goin’ Back) attached to direct. Reynolds will produce the feature through his Maximum Effort banner.
