Following its US premiere last weekend at the Tribeca Film Festival, the romantic comedy Man Up has been picked up by Saban Films, who will distribute the film in North America.
Directed by Ben Palmer, (The Inbetweeners Movie), the film stars Bell as Nancy, a single woman who is mistaken for Jack’s (Pegg) blind date under the clock at Waterloo Station, but decides to take fate into her hands and just go with it. Olivia Williams (Sabotage), Ophelia Lovibond (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Rory Kinnear (Skyfall) co-star.
Saban Films launched last year and picked up Tommy Lee Jones’ The Homesman from EuropaCorp. They have since picked up the U.S. rights to such films as How To Make Love Like An Englishman starring Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek and Jessica Alba; The Forger starring John Travolta and The Trust starring Nicolas Cage.
Man Up debuts in the UK on May 29th.
